  We were one of the first to stay at The Ellen when it first opened. Yes we saw the teething problems and now we see it's evolution in to a wonderful place to stay, leisure or business.The ambience of the motel is sure to please even a fussy guest like me. The Ellen's accomodation is right up there with many top "city" motels. The Rooms are clean, modern decor and very roomy. The meals are very Satisfying at a reasonable price. The Staff are very attentive and pleasant. Recommend you enjoy a night, meal or both here.

  I purchased a travel voucher for this hotel as a birthday surprise for my partner in October through the Travel Auction site. When I booked the room at the start of this month I advised the lady on the phone that this was a travel voucher and I sent through confirmation of my travel auction voucher code via email and when checking into the room I also said that this room was booked through and paid for via the Travel Auction site and showed him the voucher. I have since been charged for two nights accommodation, and a drink from the mini bar which was not taken. I spoke to an employee and am getting a refund but this mistake should not have happened! We stayed in King Room 1, which was nicely decorated and the bed was comforatable but hardly got any sleep on the first night due to noise and had to get ear plugs to sleep the second night. The Ellen Hotel may be a nice place to stop and get something to eat but I will not be staying here again.

  Beautiful hotel. Comfortably the nicest hotel for quite a long way around.. Great coffee too!
